National Gallery

So Beth came down from New York for an, all-too-short, weekend visit! On Saturday we decided to head down to the National Gallery to check out the Allen Ginsberg photography show and as much browsing as Juliet was interested in.

We checked the National Gallery's website before we left and they said that they provided free strollers - and did they ever! A squeaky, wonderful, industrial stroller straight from the 1950's. Juliet loved it though - she could see everything and everyone and had a really good time. There were a lot of studious looks, jutting out her chin, and thinking really hard!

After the Gallery we went to Luna Grill for a late lunch and sat on the outdoor patio.. A wonderful way to spend a Saturday!

Fun with Peas!

So we were having dinner the other night and Juliet was having her peas. After she tipped over the container enough times we decided to let her dive in and make as delicious of a mess as she could - and boy was she ever up to the task!

Yummy!

Baptism

On Saturday afternoon the families got together for a Mother's Day luncheon before Juliet's baptism later in the afternoon. It was great to see everyone together - and the time just flew by.

I could use some better pictures of the baptism (and reception?) - does anyone have them?

On Friday morning, we met Frank and Kathy at a coffee shop near the Columbia Heights metro for some delicious waffles!

May Day Adventures!

So we got up early this morning and headed down to Eastern Market (near Capitol Hill) for some delicious pancakes from Market Lunch and some early summer produce.

We then headed over to Anacostia to visit the brand new branch library and see some of Karen's former co-workers! A very enjoyable, warm, spring morning!

May Day - 5-1-10

First Veggies!

Today we started to expand Juliet's food options - adding in some sweet potatoes! Hopefully, she'll always be this happy about eating her veggies.
