Florida

The weather has been great, and we are having a blast.

We spent an hour on the beach dipping our toes in the cold waters of the Gulf of Mexico before retreating to the shady sandbox playground.

Then a morning ride on the largest passenger airboat in the world. Maykaka State Park is home to between 500 to 1000 alligators, so it is a great place to see some up close There were tons of the large prehistoric guys, wild pigs, and birds. We were lucky to see one of the 12 pairs of nesting Bald Eagles.

Grandma, Juliet and I then met my beloved Aunt Helen, affectionately known as Auntie GG. She is also the person who nicknamed me KK I am beginning to see a pattern.

Days after Christmas

On the morning after Christmas, Nancy flew out to spend a few days with us. We had fun reading on the couch and checking out the White House Christmas Tree!
